Really loving this foundation! Glides on so smoothly  and melts like snow (: soo glad i bought this!!  I can;t seem to use any other foundation now! please never stop making this foundation Laneige!! I have to point out though the concealer is not a good concealer! to thick and cakey for my liking but i love to use it as a nude lip colour along with my mango lip butter from the body shop!

Shiseido Maquillage Face creator 3D #55

My favourite pallette ever! There is a mixtur of countour, highlight and blush shades all in one handy compact!! I think it’s so convinient and being one who hates my wide face the face creator really adds diementions to my face (: LOVE IT

Kanebo Kate Glam Trick eyes Pallette BK-1

Now i love Kate Pallettes but this is my faourite! (: I love the Smoky eye effect is creates :) the colours really work well and Kate sure knows how to make some good damn pallettes!

Moving on to SKINCARE (:

Korean skin peeling gels (:

Laniege Strawberry peeling gel + Missha Detoxifying Peeling gel

Loving the Peeling Gels!! I intend to try out more from Korea!

They are effective in exfolitaing and removing dead skin cells without the harshness of scrubs!!

Yogurt and Lemon Mask (:

Dull skin? No problem!! Just to use a Homemade Yogurt and Lemon Mask!! This helps me combat areas of redness before a night out or to really refresh my skin!! I only use it when i really need it for maximum effectivness!  The Best thing? Cheap as chips! :D

This are definitley my can’t live without Cosmetic items :)

Please come back for future posts!

Make up revamp

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: July 28, 2009

My make up bag is looking rather dull to be honest.. and Needs a revamp. I have several upcoming  reviews on some products i have recenty bought (most from my wishlist) which i have been rather dissapointed about! For now though i will leave you with the items i have my eyes on to revamp my summer collection!!

Shiseido Majolica Majorca Customize Cheek Color in RD255

Im gonna be honest her i am NOT a blusher girl.. in fact i tend to hate blushers but this one appears to be a really pretty peach color with gold flecks and i might give this my time of day as i almost never give enough time to finding a blusher…  I think this is around $11 US dollars or £7 sterling.

Laneige Snow Crystal foundation $40 USD

Okay i have yet to find my perfect foundation and this has been getting some exellent reviews. The packaging is what really attracts my eye (I know) I am unsure however of which shade is suitable for me. Above the gorgeous Jeon ji hyun endorses the Snow crystal foundation. Pretty!!

Kanebo Coffret D’or Color mixing eyes in 02 $32 USD approx

Hands down i really don’t remember ever seeing a pallette so pretty before!! Many pallettes fail to impress me but these colors are gorgeous This pallete is part of the new collection from coffret D’or Released in June 2009! I can’t wait t get my hands on this!!

There is a whole world out there so i need to stop blogging about make up! It isn’t my Entire life hahaa

Come back soon for my end of summer reviews!! (:

have a scorching summer!!

The Month of August

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: July 28, 2009

It’s been a while since i’ve written a post and i have been mega busy.  My money is flying fast and i need to properly invest in some new skincare and make up for August.

Make up and humid weather are not good friends which is why you probably want to keep it simple.

I will be writing more posts on the summer collection including Kanebo, Shiseido and Laneige.

Updates very soon!!!

Why you only need one make up brush (Of great quality)

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: July 9, 2009

There are many benefits to owning one make up brush- a multi purpose brush that is. one that can apply any formula liquid, cream powders.

You should spend a lot of money on a make up brush that will last for a long time

on to the benefits:

1.) You can use it to apply foundation, highlighter, blusher and powder

2.) It will save you money on buying many kinds of brushes for each

3.) Cleaning make up brushes are a PAIN

4.) One investment is all you’ll ever have to make-

5.) Future applications of make up will be easy

6.) Lets be honest… it really is easier to have one brush and if you ever need to take it with you, you dont need a bag specifically for brushes.

7.) Quality brushes apply make up flawlessly- you buy the expensive foundation so why not use the tool to match it?

Shu uemura eyelash curler review

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: June 10, 2009

The world famous Shu uemura eyelash curler $19/£12

You can purchase this at Sephora or on ebay(Be careful as there are a lot of fake versions)

The Shu uemura eyelah curler is definelty over rated. IT Pinches my eyelid and i sometimes get that horrfic “L” shape lashes that most people want to avoid. I use it a lone to open up by eyes but this eyelash curler really doesnt “Wow” me. Plus the fact that you cannot buy the pad refills and when the time comes where they do wear down you will need to spend another $20/£12 on a new curler!

I give it 3/5 as i would have given it 2 but i give shu uemura the benefit of the doubt for now.

Agree/disagree with me? comment below!

Shiseido Aqua label WHITE AC care toner review

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: June 10, 2009

Shiseido Aqua Label white AC care lotion/toner

Shiseido had introduced an new addtion to the current “Aqua label series” as of May 2009 and i have been using it now for a few weeks. You can buy this at adambeauty.com for about $20-$22 including shipping or From the Alpha beauty store in Ebay.

I have to say i LOVE this item. I have even bought the emulsion milk in the set. I love the fact this toner has brightened up my dull skin, faded by acne scars and left my skin more supple with less visable pores. I will likely re purchase again even though i have other toners i want to try and review such as the Laneige Power toner.

The shisiedo Aqua label range is great for people who can’t afford the high end products but don’t want to skimp on quality.  I love this product!! (:

Splurge Vs Save on Beauty Products

Posted by: lostmyseoul on: June 3, 2009

The never ending debate on what we should splurge and Spalsh out on will give you headaches for sure but there is no need to empty that fat wallet just yet!  From research and readings i have drawn these conclusions (:

SKIN

Skincare: BOTH- you should mix skincare with higher end products as well as basic drugstore versions that work just as well.  The most important thing is to find products that suit your skin type!

Cleanser- Save, but dont go too cheap! aim for higher end drugstore and not 0.99 versions! People with sensitive skin, find one with no fragrance.

Toners : SAVE and SPLURGE  The ongoing debate on weather or not toner is needed will always go on but in the mean time i highly reccomend toners although you really dont necessarily need to purchase the high end ones. High end toners DO however have it’s benefits, as a toner can be used for many purposes- a face refresher and Remove excess oils and make up your cleanser cannot remove. It also tightens up pores and helps your moisturizer absorb better so i would say that depending on who you are don’t skip the toner but buy one to suit your taste and price range.

Moisturizer/Emulsion: SPLURGE – yess splurge on this (:   Everyone need a HG Moisturizer and your money will be well spent in this department so feeel free to loosen the purse strings for this one.

Essence:  SPLURGE     Essence are concentrated creams that fix skin problems and are more expensive because they achieve quicker results. definetly worth your hard earned cash (:

Sun screen: SPLURGE if you can. of course there are a lot of cheaper pharmacy drugstore versions BUT they are likely to have chemicals that will harm the skin and most do not protect from both UVA and UVB rays so you need to look for sunscreens with “Broad Spectrum” protection for maximum effects. Finding an expensive sunscreen will not irritate the skin and will be better for sensitve skin types. did i mention it is probably the best anti aging product EVER? reccomended by dermatoligists everywhere

Eye creams: SAVE – really really (: Overuse of eyecreams can have reverse affects ad the skin around that area is really delicate choosing a lighter version less rich is the best way to give the eye area mositure without over doing it.

The aim is to keep the skincare basic and splurge on one or two expensive items in your routine and saving on the rest (: Sunscreen is VITAL trust me on this one!

HAIR CARE

A damn good haircut: SPLURGE SPLURGE SPLURGE i cannot stress this enough- too many times i have gotten a bad hair cut! even to this day paying for it endless months of growing out and bad hair days. You can end that all with a expensive haircut. Now im not saying that they are all amazing as you may find an amazing stylist at your bargain hair salon but mostly the top stylists WILL be found in these expensive hair salons. So go on, spend your pay check on this at least as a good hair cut mean less bad hair days, less PRODUCT and less fustration!!

Shampoo: SAVE but splurge ocassionally a good shampoo doe shave its benefits but there are so many “Salon quality” drugstore versions that will work just as well. I say, buy the salon versions once in a while :)

Conditioner: SAVE – why? Conditioners are effective regardless of that price tage honestly (: You should deffo put the money you save on this towards something worth splashing out on.

Serums/Finishing products SPLURGE (exc Hairspray, Mousse and wax) Finishing creme or Serums are definetly worth the money! They will last a lot longer and will stay on you hair longer as you wont be washing them out for a least a day! Saving on shampoo and conditioner will allow you to treat yourself to a gloddy new serum (: woohoooo

MAKE UP

Everyone is different

But i do believe that splurging on foundation is worth it. Especially if you are on a tight budget having a good foundation thats right for your skin will really help as everything falls into place after getting that “Perfect canvas”

I also recommend splurging on make up tools and brushes. I would reccomend top quality twwezers and also a stippling brush- it can apply creams, liquids and powders making it an ideal brush worth all the money.

A eyeshadow pallette has really pigmented shadows which for a night out is exellent so splurging ocassionally on one can be quite good.

Other things to consider are highlighters for the face that are in the form of powders.. This will last for a long time and you will make the most of your money for the quality.

You should try and save on  mascara, eyeliner, lip products etc because the ones found in drugstores are just as good!

Thanks for reading!

Bye :)
